
































The past two years have been great to ZHMS! Recession? What recession? We have doubled the number of properties under management and increased our geographic footprint to 5 states. And considering our development pipeline, we are just getting started . . .
To help us continue our growth and expansion, we are creating the systems and processes necessary to manage a much larger and more sophisticated organization. But most importantly, we have been lucky to attract the right folks to help us achieve our current success. I am proud to be flanked by Nate, Arthur, Ryan, and now Ken, in charge of finance & development, operations, sales & marketing, and accounting, without whom our growth and operational excellence would not be possible.
Speaking of "operational excellence," in 2010 ZHMS was honored with Marriott's Horizon Award, or "best of the best," out of hundreds of operators in the Americas. The award considers Marriott partner distinction, operations, excellence, portfolio growth, and alignment with the Marriott values of service, integrity and quality. Additionally, our Omaha TownePlace ranked "Number One" in guest satisfaction in the Marriott system, a great accomplishment considering the number of properties in operation worldwide.

Our philosophy is to operate our hotels at an advantage to those in our competitive segments, in terms of market positioning, guest satisfaction, general operations, and, when developing new properties, location. Over the years this philosophy has proven to increase the satisfaction and loyalty of our guests and has resulted in better operating results and higher returns to our owners.
Our commitment now is to (i) consistently provide a great experience to our Guests; (ii) treat each of our 250 Team Members with dignity and respect; (iii) optimize the operations of the properties under our care; and (iv) provide accurate, timely, and relevant information to our owners, always guided by the principles of stewardship, transparency, and diligence.
As we look to the future, we do so with excitement and optimism! We will continue to strive for perfection, as we operate the properties under our stewardship and develop new ones.
